You can take the Learner’s Permit Exam after you’re done with the Driver Education & Traffic Safety (DETS) Course. It’s quick and convenient — something that you can easily do online.
*If you have already attempted to take the FL Learner’s Permit Exam in person at the DMV, you are no longer eligible to take it online, regardless of your age.
OVER 18 Years Old
4-Hour Florida First Time Driver (Drug & Alcohol) Course
The state of Florida requires that new drivers, 18 years of age and older, complete an approved 4-Hour First Time Driver Course (TLSAE). We’re an approved provider of this informative course which covers; how drugs and alcohol affect a person’s ability to drive, describes state laws and responsibility of drivers, covers driving techniques, and explains how students can become more aware drivers while on the road.
