6-Hour Florida Driver Education Traffic Safety Course
The Florida Driver Education Traffic Safety Course is required by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles for all first time driver’s license applicants under the age of 18 under Florida Statute 322.095. This course must be completed before taking the Florida Permit Exam and applying for a learner’s permit in the state of Florida.

IS THIS COURSE APPROVED BY THE STATE OF FLORIDA?
Yes. Our course is approved by the Department Highway Safety Motor Vehicles (DHSMV).
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO TAKE THIS COURSE?
You can take the course after your 14th birthday, and before your 18th birthday, but you must be at least 15 to apply for your Class E Learner’s License (restricted license).
DOES THIS COURSE HAVE A FINAL EXAM?
Yes. At the end of the course, you will take a 40 question exam and you must score an 80% or higher. You can take as much time as you need on the exam, and if you do not pass, this will result in a course failure, and the course fee will not be refunded.
